Japan is a beautiful country with a lot of scenic spots everywhere.
However, in some areas with less attention from tourists, accommodations are facing difficult situations.
We believe if such accommodations participate in the Zero Dementia Community Project, we can generate revenue for them that would lead to regional revitalization.
We are open to any contact from accommodations, municipalities, or regional organizations that would support our project.

Here’s a new episode from a wellness tips series by Prof. Mori, a microcirculation /physiology researcher and cultivator of Reishi.

There are two types of vessels: artery to provide blood from the heart and vein to send blood back to the heart.
Arteries and veins are not connected directly to each other.
So, how can blood circulate?
Actually, there is another type of vessels called capillary.
Capillaries connect arteries and veins, exchanging oxygen, nutrients, carbon dioxide, and waste products with cells.
This is what we call microcirculation, which covers one of the crucial functions to keep tissues and organs vital.
Monitoring how microcirculation is working enables us to comprehend what is going on in living organisms.
Most physicians and professionals know that regulating microcirculation is important for alleviating dementia symptoms, but they don’t have any measure.
Fortunately, we have KOUKA.
KOUKA can improve functions of microcirculation.
We also have a kind of microscope called miculator to observe how it works for microcirculation.
KOUKA helps human body generate 3 substances: nitric oxide (NO), 2,3-diphosphoglyceric acid (2,3-DPG), and Glutathione Peroxidase (GSH-Px).
In 1998, R. Furchgott, L. Ignarro, and F. Murad won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their “discoveries concerning nitric oxide as a signalling molecule in the cardiovascular system.”
In human body, NO dilates vessels after being released from vascular endothelial cells, making the vessels suppler to stabilize blood pressure.
NO is effective for preventing arterial sclerosis.
In addition, it is expected to prevent and relieve hypertension, because its production is promoted when blood flow speeds up.
Arteries and veins consist of 3 layers.
On the other hand, capillaries, arterioles and venules, which compose minute circulation of 200 to 400μm called microcirculation, have only 1 layer.
NO is a gas that is released from endothelial cells of these small vessels, which causes those vessels to expand.
KOUKA promotes NO secretion to boost expansion of those vessels.
Then, more red blood cells come into the vessels, delivering oxygen and nutrients, taking wastes away.
Sufficient supply of oxygen and nutrients causes increase in the number of small vessels.
So, improvement of microcirculation actually means increase in the size and number of those small vessels.
Blood appears red because a protein called hemoglobin in red blood cells contains iron, which combines with oxygen to turn red.
We started our research on green juice aiming to alleviate anemia to promote functions of red blood cells.
We knew that we need something more than boosting NO production to improve microcirculation.
An increased amount of red blood cells can collect and carry more oxygen, but it is not enough.
Oxygen needs to be separated from red blood cells after being carried.
That is exactly what 2,3-DPG does.
Then, more oxygen penetrates into organs.
The third substance, GSH-Px, is known as an oxidoreductase.
It is the strongest enzyme to reduce oxidation of human body.
The enzyme protects living organisms from oxidative stress, serving as one of the main antioxidant enzymes inside and outside cells.
It has the ability to reduce hydrogen peroxide and lipid peroxides, protecting membranes and sensitive areas of cells from oxidative damages.
It means oxidized cells can never return to normal without GSH-Px.
This is how these three substances are essential.
Without them, human body can never deal with risk factors including cancer cells.
So, let’s generate and secrete these crucial substances by yourself.
By taking KOUKA, you can promote the secretion, which improves microcirculation that leads to alleviation of dementia.
Remember, the three substances exist in human body naturally, so there is no need to worry about side effects.
What we are focusing on is to strengthen our innate ability to produce those substances inside our own bodies.
