〇 What’s going on in Zero Dementia Community Project—Video message from Prof. Masao Mori
Here’s a presentation on what is going on in Zero Dementia Community Project headed by our chairman Prof. Masao Mori.

There is no big progress since the previous report, but we are discussing the proposed use of trailer houses equipped with bathrooms etc.
This is an option for residents to stay independent to enjoy their own private time and space.
We are currently considering various options to materialize the project soon, because there are still many things to be cleared before initiating construction of the facility,
As for the location, we have not concluded whether we do it in Chiba of Beppu.
Although Beppu seems desirable due to the hot spring that surely promotes residents’ health, we must make the best choice considering the cost we will pay.
We would be happy if you send us your ideas.

〇 Price revision of KOUKA
Since the start of the sales in 2016, we have been offering KOUKA at the same price despite continued increase in prices, aiming to maintain a stable supply of the product.
We have made every effort to reduce costs and maintain prices, but rise in cost for raw material, logistics, and labor makes it extremely difficult to maintain the current price.
As a matter of unpleasant necessity, we have reluctantly decided to change the price for orders placed on or after January 1, 2025.
Currently we are considering raising the price by about 10%.
We will notify you again as soon as the price is fixed.
For orders made in this year, we will continue to offer at the current price (39,000 yen excluding tax).
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers, and appreciate your continued patronage.
The product is still affordable especially for overseas customers due to the weak yen.
If you are continuously taking KOUKA or want to try it, we recommend purchasing it before the end of the year.

〇 Prof Mori’s wellness tips—Exercise to alleviate short/old sight
Here’s a new episode from a wellness tips series by Prof. Mori, a microcirculation /physiology researcher and cultivator of Reishi.

Most aged people suffer dysfunction on their eyes.
Because eye and dental problems are daily worries of the elderly, Prof. Mori plans to assign doctors to deal with these issues in the Zero Dementia Community Project.
But for now, Prof. Mori shares a simple exercise against short /aged sight that everybody can do in one’s everyday life.
Prof. Mori also talked about cataracts, an eye disease that is common among the elderly, saying that you have nothing to afraid of if you learn the mechanism.
Cataracts can occur in anyone as we age, and actually many elderly people develop it.
The most common type cataract is “senile cataract” due to aging.
The incidence rate by age is about 40 to 50% in people in their 50s, and almost 100% in people in their 80s or older.
However, most people are not aware of the disease because of it progresses gradually.
The speed of progression varies a lot between individuals.

Every day Prof. Mori thinks about what residents would need in the project.
Currently we are developing a green juice that promotes bowel movement, as well as providing nutrients including iron and vitamins.

Recently the first prototype has been completed.

Alleviation of depression essential for dementia treatment—Importance of combined use of KOUKA and Anti Stress
As we have already informed you, people who took KOUKA for about 4 months, including those who showed advanced symptoms, gave us positive testimonials as follows:
