We, general incorporated association, Dementia improved support Association of Japan, tackle to make dementia zero for the dementia patients as well as their families not only in Japan but in the world.
On August 25, 2015, the Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) published a report illustrating that the number of the people living with dementia might increase to 132 million by 2050, about 3 times the current level of 47 million.

About 9.9 million new cases are estimated to be reported every year, with one patient added every 3.2 seconds.
The report includes the estimation of dementia-related cost across the world. The amount should reach $818 billion in 2015, an increase of more than 35% from 2010, and keep ballooning over $1,000 billion by 2018.
To tackle this global issue, DISAJP sent a letter to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates after having known that he would put his personal fund into therapeutic researches on dementia.
