・Still no success in anti-dementia drug development

Another “promising” project of an anti-Alzheimer’s drug forced to be discontinued, following a row of preceding unsuccessful cases.

On March 21, two major pharmaceutical companies of Biogen and Eisai announced
that they had decided to discontinue clinical trial of Aducanumab, an anti-Alzheimer’s drug.

https://www.eisai.co.jp/news/2019/news201917.html

Aducanumab was featured on ”Nature”,

one of the most prestigious scientific journals, as a promising study for developing an anti-dementia drug.

The article reported Aducanumab had reduced Amyloid beta peptide (Aβ) in brain and more dosage amount had decreased more Aβ .

Eisai announced they had made decision at the final stage of clinical trial for its insufficient efficacy, not for safety issues.

In the past five years, world’s major pharmaceutical companies including Pfizer, Merck and Eli Lilly abandoned clinical tests of fundamental remedies for dementia.

Now, Aβ hypothesis is causing suspicion over the world.

A string of unsuccessful projects can be explained by the potential fact that Aβ is not the primary cause of dementia.

However, denial of the hypothesis is not very acceptable as it will knock the bottom out of numerous efforts over the years.
There are still lots of studies going on with huge investments around the world.

Given this circumstance, perhaps the developers could have no choice but to go forward in the middle of unknown forest, having missed the timing to head back.

This circumstance could be interpreted as indicating the developers have no choice but to go forward in the middle of unknown forest, having passed the point of no return.

Discovery by Nobel Prize winner Koichi Tanaka

Relaxing yourself is the key to your health_Koichi Tanaka

We have mentioned for several times a blood testing method for early detection of dementia developed by a Nobel Prize winner Koichi Tanaka and Shimadzu.

https://www.nobelprize.org/prizes/chemistry/2002/tanaka/lecture/

This method focuses on data of unknown protein showing a slight difference in structure to Aβ.

Tanaka and his team happened to detect this protein in a process of their experiment, although its existence hadn’t been academically recognized.

By a comparative analysis of the blood of those who had malfunctions in brain and the blood of those who didn’t, they discovered following facts:

・ The blood of those who didn’t have any malfunctions in brain contained more Aβ than the unknown protein.

・ The blood of those who had malfunctions contained less Aβ than the unknown protein.

Tanaka and his team found the possibility to evaluate the risk for dementia by observing the proportion of these two types of proteins.

Relax, and release your stress

In a way, dementia has been considered globally to be a natural process of aging.
We can become much better on “relaxing” as we grow older.
It might imply physical decline, but relaxing makes you release too much tension anyway.

・Relaxing yourself is the key to your health

Relaxing is primary element in Qigong.

The first step is easing muscle tension throughout the body, leaving strength just enough to keep standing.
The second step is easing mind, which means relaxing the mind without giving too much focus on breathing or tanden (an energy center in lower abdomen), after relaxing the body and make it comfortable.
Japanese Buddhism has a saying that the mind is everywhere if you put it nowhere.

Relaxing body and mind awakens true nature of them, which increases energy and strengthens their organizations.
It also enhances brain function, which would help prevent dementia.

Now, a question is getting crucial worldwide:
Can we build a society where people with dementia can live with peace of mind?

Aiming zero dementia patients, we developed “KOUKA”,
a supplement containing reishi extracts which builds healthy microcirculation.

Thankfully, we’ve got a lot of positive feedback saying
“Now I’m enjoying my everyday life” or ”We have more conversation between family members”.

Besides the symptom amelioration,
we are aware of the need for understanding the patients in each family and community to organize an inclusive society.

From the very beginning of the association,
we’ve been pursuing sustainable social mechanism by striving financial independence based on cultivation, production and sales of reishi and the supplement
by the workers including those who have dementia,
as well as opening dementia cafes for people’s interaction, u
nder the slogan of building zero dementia community with the high quality reishi supplement.

Supplement “ KOUKA “

which Dementia improved support Association of Japan recommends has the main ingredient of Ganoderma Japonica.
It has patents in the method of planting, fungus, charred methods, and blending ratio.

The aim for 2019 of our association is to increase

“dementia zero town by cognitive function improvement”.

To improve cognitive function, normalizing microcirculation is very effective and
we believe adequate intake of natural ingredient Reishi is essential for that.

We would like to convey this information to reach many people as possible,
strongly wishing to stop dementia-related tragedies like murder within patient’s family.

We will deliver more useful information at our official website.
Thank you for your corporation.

We delivers valuable information to the world on the 4th of each month, aiming to reduce the people distressed by dementia.
